NEW 'SMOKE-FREE'
NATURAL SMOKE FLAVOURS

Introducing our leading range of brand new of fully EU regulation compliant 'smoke-free' natural flavourings. Developed using our specialist knowledge in the savoury flavours industry, they are perfect for use in meat, seafood, meat alternatives, snack foods, bakery, cheese, ingredients and ready meals. The range includes traditional wood smokes, grill and cooking smokes, smoked food/drink flavours as well as natural flavours complimentary to smoked foods.

New EU regulations, introduced in 2024, aim to stop the use of flavourings containing naturally derived smoke - several flavours have already been withdrawn from sale and manufacturers are looking for clean label alternatives. Our range is completely clean label and designed to provide an authentic smoky flavour. They are also an alternative to traditional smoking methods, reducing the need for costly and time consuming chambers and the harmful carcinogens producing by natural smoking processes.

BENEFITS

Of our natural smoke flavours

We have developed our range of 'smoke-free' natural smoke flavours using our decades of experince in the meat and savoury industries. The flavours deliver an authentic smokey profile, enhancing any dish, without the need for traditional smoking or existing smoke extract flavours. We are also able to create amazing smokey flavours such as 'applewood smoke cheese' to use in other products, making them incredibly versatile. â€‹â€‹

Vs. Traditional Smoking

One of the problems associated with traditional smoking methods is the harmful carcinogens produced. Consumers are becoming increasingly aware of the potential risks and are seeking out alternatives when it isn't essential. For producers, smoking can be incredibly costly, time consuming and can lead to an inconsistent flavour profile.

Our range allows manufacturers to reduce energy costs and produce a consistent product every time, without the harmful toxins.

Vs. Natural Smokes

Many of the 'natural smoke' liquids and powders on the market are produced using smoke or smoke extracts, and therefore carry the same toxins as traditional smoking methods. The latest EU regulations have disallowed a number of these natural smoke liquids and have recommended that non smoke alternatives are found.

Smyths range is completely smoke-free and full of authentic flavours.
